Oshi-Gokko
A video game that a celebrity evades paparazzi in a city maze
Brief
This game is about a celebrity hiding from paparazzi trying to take their photos. We were thinking about creating a game centered on "Adversarial Relationships," and this idea stood out to us. We believe the chase/hide concept is both straightforward and highly interactive.
The game design is inspired by Pac-Man but set in a more complex city maze. The goal for the celebrity is to reach several destinations without being caught (having their photo taken) by the paparazzi. Paparazzi must take photos of their target at specific locations, angles, and distances, and may have some restrictions, such as slower speed, needing to return to a certain spot to recharge their camera, etc. The win condition is either the celebrity reaching the destinations or the paparazzi obtaining the required photos. Other ideas include the paparazzi losing when they run out of shots, or implementing a time limit for the celebrity's side.
